Len was a true friend. A Wonderful Friend. A friend you knew you could count on. Although he had strong opinions he never judged me but just accepted me for what I was. We had a lot in common - children of the same age and at the same school, we both loved running marathons (he got me started in that!) and we both loved DIY. The DIY brought us very close as we started up a little unofficial business together in Property Maintenance which we called 'Hinge and Bracket' (we never quite decided which of us was Hinge or Bracket!). Working with Len was always a pleasure, with his humour, his energy and his talent at the DIY. I learned a lot from him and still use those skills today. Thank you Len. When my marriage broke up it was Len who housed me and my son for many months until I could get my life sorted out. What a friend. What a loss. But such a lot of wonderful memories. I'll never forget you Len.
